Who Am I? My name is Katie, Katherine to be exact, and I'm a freshman here at Penn State majoring in food science. I'm from Greensburg, Pennsylvania, a small town about 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. Perhaps the most unique thing about me is that I have a fraternal twin sister, Barbara. I'm twin A, older by 24 minutes. Barbara also is starting college, however, she's attending Pitt. At home I have two dogs named Candy and Cookie. I'm also a lifeguard at two pools where I live. I joke, though, that if you have any doubts in your swimming abilities come swim by me because I've had only four saves in two years, an exceptionally low number. Some of the things I enjoy doing are yoga, swimming, baking, reading, and shopping. I've danced for the past 13 years and have also studied piano for over ten. I love to travel and go to the beach. My favorite place I've ever visited is France.
Over the semester I hope to become a better writer in English 15. While I've never been the best at English, I've always been more of a math and science person, I really enjoy it and look forward to the semester. The photo on the left is from our high school's most recent musical, Sweet Charity. I've been involved in musical ever since I was in sixth grade. The picture on the right is of my best friend Chelsea, myself, and my sister.
